This painting purchased as Northern Italian School, circa 1600 is from the Flemish school, circa 1600 The finding of Moses
This beautiful painting,oil on canvas derives from Sadeler engraving after a drawings by Maarten de Vos scenes of the bible.


My painting is derived from an engraving by Sadeler that is in the Brtitish Museum number: 1910,0208.25. https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/object/P_1910-0208-25 There is also another Sadeler engraving also at the British Museum Registration number:1939,0130.1.25. https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/object/P_1939-0130-1-25 While at the Rijksmuseum we have another anonymous painting also from the Southern Netherlands ,[https://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/collection/object/Mozes-in-het-biezen-mandje--5ce4fa4c5f6f2cfce4024a03c20ae143](object number:SK-A-4184)
