¡Hola, queridos amigos de Hive! Espero que se encuentren bien. Hace poco más de un mes, compartí con ustedes una emocionante actualización sobre un proyecto muy especial en el que estuve trabajando con mis compañeros de la universidad. Se trataba de un cortometraje que realizamos como parte de una evaluación en la materia de Lengua y Planificación Cinematográfica, la cual representaba un 40% de nuestra calificación final del semestre.
Durante dos intensos meses, nos dedicamos a la preproducción, donde definimos la historia, elaboramos el guion, y decidimos los planos y ángulos desde los cuales filmar. Además, realizamos un casting para seleccionar a los actores que darían vida a nuestros personajes. Finalmente, logramos culminar nuestro cortometraje titulado "Cometa", una historia conmovedora que aborda cómo una joven violinista enfrenta un profundo trauma del pasado, mientras descubre el amor de su mejor amigo, quien lucha en secreto contra una enfermedad terminal.
El pasado lunes 17 de febrero fue un día verdaderamente memorable. Celebramos el Festival de Cine PAVMA 2025, donde se presentaron cortometrajes y mediometrajes de estudiantes de comunicación social de los semestres tercero y sexto de la Universidad Nacional Experimental de los Llanos Centrales Rómulo Gallegos. Durante el festival, se premiaron las mejores producciones de diversos géneros cinematográficos, incluyendo categorías como mejor actriz, mejor actor y mejor guion.
Con gran alegría, me complace compartir que, junto a mi equipo, tuvimos el honor de ganar el premio al mejor cortometraje en el género de drama. El momento en que anunciaron nuestro nombre como ganadores fue indescriptible e inolvidable. Fue increíblemente gratificante ver cómo todo el esfuerzo y la dedicación que invertimos en este proyecto dio sus frutos.

Hello, dear Hive friends, I hope you are doing well. A little over a month ago, I shared with you an exciting update on a very special project I was working on with my university classmates. It was a short film that we made as part of an evaluation in Language and Film Planning, which represented 40% of our final grade for the semester.
During two intense months, we dedicated ourselves to pre-production, where we defined the story, developed the script, and decided on the shots and angles from which to film. We also carried out a casting to select the actors who would give life to our characters. Finally, we were able to finish our short film entitled “Cometa”, a moving story about how a young violinist faces a deep trauma from the past, while discovering the love of her best friend, who is secretly fighting a terminal illness.
Last Monday, February 17, was a truly memorable day. We celebrated the PAVMA 2025 Film Festival, where short and medium-length films were presented by social communication students from the third and sixth semesters of the Universidad Nacional Experimental de los Llanos Centrales Rómulo Gallegos. During the festival, awards were given to the best productions of various film genres, including categories such as best actress, best actor and best script.
With great joy, I am pleased to share that, together with my team, we had the honor of winning the award for best short film in the drama genre. The moment when they announced our name as winners was indescribable and unforgettable. It was incredibly gratifying to see how all the effort and dedication we invested in this project paid off.
