Working on the "Blessed" copy
All the journals that are to bless others
Dusting off my good old trusty Sizzix die cutter
The glitter cards I bought, ended up picking the pink instead
2 dye cut plates used
My badly damaged dye cut plates. I need a new set soon if I am keeping this going...
Tricky cutting thick fabric top glitter stock cards
Got to pull out the paper gently from the plates each time.
Requires additional fabric cutting with the blade cutting through the cut out guide.
Jingle! Jingle! Jingle!
Time to make the making work from all the ingredients acquired from the specialty shop (with a little rabbit trail blessed with caroling performance)!
The print and bind was easy; however the front wordings with the special fabric glittering cardstock was the challenging one.
It took me a while to figure out how to cut with minimal intervention of my blade, but somehow by the 4th cutting process, I have to complacent with the fact that my arm is getting a lot more exercise while turning those handles to press the cut deeper, even for the 26th time!
Overall the work was time consuming, making sure the title front was good, and beside that, cutting off the edges with just a blade was definitely another level of challenge! Good thing I was only making 10 instead of 100 (like the old days)!
With the book wraper I got, I was able to protect the lettering at the front, and it does look like a proper journal with water resistance cover.
I actually only had 9 of the darker versions, so the 10th journal I went for a totally different colour theme because the cover was from an old stock card collection that was not tarnished by dust
From all 3 designs, which one do you like most?
I will be selling this 31 day prayer journal entry in my online thrift shop soon in 2024 for newly acquired material's cost price + 10% (workmanship handling fee) which will definitely be affordable, unfortunately this will only availble in Malaysia at the moment until I can figure out the best postage service for international shipping, then I can offer it to the #HIVE community and can be bought with HIVE / HBD.
