Making use of well dried flowers from Women's Day
Cutting out into smaller chunks and removing all excess greens
Soaking thread with with wax and let them dry
dipping some of the bigger flowers with wax and stick to the sides first
Melt enough tea light candles with scented candles to balance the potency of the fragrance.
Getting the jar ready for melted wax
Starting to cool down quickly. That's the beauty of tea light candles. They turn back solid fast.
All ready to be used the next day
Two sizes available at the moment. Planning to put on sale on Mother's Day; but will need to complete the card first.
Glasses used to be recyclable; but in recent years the centers have stopped accepting even clear jars because of the "buy and throw mentality". These used to be able to buy back from the company issuer because they wanted to promote recycling and also for customers to keep coming back for their herbal products because, while giving customers some discounts on the next purchase when they bring back the bottles.
All of these stopped since lockdown happened. Many businesses ceased to exist or even shrunk.
I also started throwning these away ever time my mom used them. I used to try to upscale them into cute glass containers but not many people like the idea, because the cover is hard to close back.
But then, recently God re-opened my creativity door when she decided to listen to HIS instructions and gave me her Women's Day bouquet. You can read all about it here, however after giving away most of them and kept some for myself, I had quite a bit of the beautiful purple and violet _Sea Lavender_ flowers that not all should be used as pressed bookmarks.
I also received a beautiful aromatic candle during Christmas. But it was so huge and the aroma was so strong, it was overwhelming for my family. So we barely lit it. Instead of setting it aside and not touching it anymore, I have decided to tone down the fragrans by diluting with a normal tealight candle, with approximately 2:1 ratio.
It turned out pretty satisfying as I was melting the wax and repouring it after placing the dried Sea Lavender and Baby Breaths, not to mention so pretty.
I am planning to see how many bottles my mom will keep because she needs it for her recent joint pains, but I know that this batch will be a limited edition.
I will try to check through my old card stock and see if I can match any colours to it to make beautiful basic Mother's Day / Women honouring cards for sale. Unfortunately right now it is still only available for Malaysia as the postage is really expensive.
Maybe I will look into shopify later when I am more frequently purchasing; otherwise these will be set aside for a possible upcoming charity sale along with the terrariums I created with recycled glass bottles.
Do stay tuned for more update sets for the junk2glamour series, where I am planning to launch another junk2glory series too. Do subscribe to this accoutn to see the latest updates!
ps: This is my old (lost and found) account, which I managed to retrieve my password after misplacing it for 1 year. @littlenewthings is my main account now; but this will be my account specially for commercial and charity use.

Process looks tedious, but this is something definitely I can stand to support. Usable, and not alive, and I do not need to worry. 😉
The fragrance is so nice!
``Very creative and done nicely! Wishing you all the best in what you are promoting`

They smell so good while making it. Such a creative way to reuse the glass bottles!
