Este post está escrito en dos idiomas y dividido para facilitar la lectura.
Ya me estaba haciendo mucha falta sentarme por un momento a escribir y, compartir con ustedes un poco de mis días. La razón de mi ausencia se debe a que comenzaron los carnavales en la isla y, en mi antiguo trabajo me llamaron para apoyar durante éstas fechas.
Con total honestidad, nunca había visto un evento de tal magnitud y con tanta cantidad de personas. Fueron cuatro días de celebraciones sin parar, música y muy buen ambiente. Y aunque estuve trabajando durante la celebración por completo, si tengo que admitir que tuve la oportunidad de disfrutarla desde el otro lado de la barra.
Ésta fue mi primera experiencia en Los Indianos, una fiesta en las que todos vestimos de blanco y lanzamos talco de forma constante a las demás personas. Todo se centraba en reírnos y disfrutar, aunque claro, a nosotros nos tocaba trabajar, pero aún así mantuvimos la buena energía junto a aquellos que lo festejaban al 100%.
Me siento cansada, aún me toca retomar un poco más de energía, pero me siento feliz porque logré introducirme a una nueva cultura y a una gran celebración. Ahora sólo resta retomar el curso natural de nuestros días, con el grato recuerdo de estos carnavales del 2023.
I've been missing a lot to sit down for a moment to write and share with you a little bit of my days. The reason for my absence is that carnivals have started on the island and my old job called me to help out during these dates.
In all honesty, I had never seen an event of such magnitude and with so many people. It was four days of non-stop celebrations, music and a great atmosphere. And although I was working during the entire celebration, I have to admit that I had the opportunity to enjoy it from the other side of the bar.
This was my first experience at Los Indianos, a party where we all wore white and constantly threw talcum powder at each other. It was all about laughing and enjoying ourselves, although of course we had to work, but we still kept the good energy together with those who were partying 100%.
I feel tired, I still have to pick up a little more energy, but I feel happy because I was able to introduce myself to a new culture and a great celebration. Now it only remains to resume the natural course of our days, with the pleasant memory of these carnivals of 2023.
