It's been awhile since I had chili pan mee so it was a perfect time to have it after church on Sunday. Me and some friends went to Meet Mee in Genting Klang which had recently reopen after they closed during the pandemic years.

Its great to see them back in business again as they are one of my go to places for chili pan mee whenever I'm craving for some. Also something I didn't know is that they are a pork free shop which I can't tell by the food alone as its extremely flavorful.

I ordered their signature chili pan mee with fried fish cakes with thick noodles. The dish came with their signature handmade noodles that has such a wonderful texture both chewy and soft at the same time. It was topped with fried fish cake slides, minced meat, fried shallots, freshly slices spring onions, and a soft boiled egg.

I added their sambal and their dried chili flakes in as well and once you mix everything together with the noodles and the creamy egg yolk, it becomes a rich and spicy sauce that coats the noodles beautifully. It's like a spicy Chinese version of an Italian bolognese/ragu.

Super delicious bowl of noodles and a craving satisfying dish.
