Macro photography is a lot of fun. One of the coolest parts of it is being able to make super tiny things look really big and make tiny ordinary things look so different.
To get these shots, I used my 100mm macro lens, some extension tubes and my speedlite. When you are taking photos using extension tubes, you lose a lot of light because the light has to travel so much further down the lens to get to the sensor so having a speedlite is handy and lets you close the aperture down quite a bit.
Whenever you use extension tubes, it also messes with your depth of field, and makes it super shallow, so if you are shooting wide open, the focus falls off very quickly, so being able to close down your aperture keeps a lot more of the subject in focus.
I am hoping to do more macro shots and just go exploring for interesting things to take photos of. Macro photography can be a lot of fun and last week's theme for my contest was a lot of fun seeing all of the different macro shots everyone came up with. This week, the theme is landscapes, so make sure to check out the contest post here and get your entry in before Saturday.

Very nice details captured in these photographs, I really liked that warm tone of the photo, yellow and ocher tones, very delicate.
Thank you
Good photos. Congratulations. You show a very calm eye. I really liked the color temperature you achieved, good handling of uniformity. Did you use any software to develop the photos?
I use adobe lightroom to edit my photos.
Perfect, thanks a lot.
Beautiful pictures, are those dandelion flowers I guess?
I've been looking to get some equipment to start taking pictures myself, but I'm pretty lost in terms of what could be a good budget setup to start taking decent photos.
I really want to share with all of you guys, some of the amazing views I get in my garden everyday.
Thanks for sharing !!
Ya, it was a dandelion. Hopefully you can get some equipment to take some photos and share here. Cell phone cameras work really great nowadays.
I would love to try some more, but I don't have a good macro lens or the patience to do macro lol I am too stressed about eveything lol
Outstanding work. Yes micro work requires a lot of skill and experience. In micro deapth of field is very narrow so steady hands requires.
Thank you. It's nice using a speedlite so I don't have to use a slow shutter speed.
Noted

Great photos!
I am still a newbie photographer and I haven't done any macro shooting. But loved the details both of the bee (it was the same bee, right?) and the flower.
Cheers!
the photo is very beautiful especially on the flower there is an insect which is the main target of the photo
