I still remember how my grandparents used to chew betel, with the read spit all over the place.
but this tradition has long gone, I think my grandparents are the last ones to do that in our family.

    Glad you didn't inherit it, lol! I think that a long time ago, it was a good practice as I read it was a part of how they connect with others. But these days, it has become another addiction (vice).

    Yes that was what it used to be. kind of like how they offer drinks nowadays when someone is visiting. they will offer bettel, and they will chew while talking to each other. but they did have strong teeth back then. !LOLZ
