So I wanted to drop a quick comment on my first thoughts. But I have gathered a few more:
The whole idea of "Wang Hong" - Influencer to anyone else not familiar with Chinese, is really a construct of the platform they gained notoriety on. Only in very rare circumstances do they achieve widespread acclaim as they hop around platforms.
Influencer marketing is a buzzword in the marketing industry but real marketers know that influencers actually have pretty poor conversions compared to other strategies. Influencers do however continue to take more attention off the traditional entertainment industry and that is probably a welcome change. At the same time, the idea of becoming an influencer is in my eyes polluting the healthy development of otherwise intelligent young people full of potential to deliver productive value to society in other ways.
Notice, I did not say that influencers do not provide value - they do - but we can't simply have everybody pursue that "career" and ignore everything else in society, just because it is financially alluring (for the top top percentile). In that vain, I think you have made a wise decision. I think you absolutely could be one if you wanted. You have the prerequisites, and communication skills is something which can be learned along the way. But you probably recognise that you would be more valuable as a productive member of society in other ways and for that, I salute you.
You do you, and I'm sure you'll get the best outcome eventually.
When all is said and done though, I still enjoy these Wanghong photos 😁

Thank you Elmerlin for all these ideas and you make sense, we should have our own way to achieve our dreams and realize our value. Making money can be any work, not only this way.😉
