He was a semi-stray cat for 2 years at my porch, he was taken good care and food but he was not allowed in house, due to the existence of our own very old female cat Lazaraki, that hated other cats, wanted to be the queen of the house 😂😂
Anyway, Lazaraki eventually passed last spring, and during the following summer, in the big Greek heat, walking back to my house after a brief swim at the nearest beach, I found Me. Ginger nearly unconscious among the flower pots. I grabbed him, took him in, gave him some water and tried to understand what's happening with him. I thought it was because of the heat, and waiting for him to start to recover. Unfortunately he was turning worse.
In a rush and anxious way I grabbed him in my arms and we drove to the nearest vet clinic.
They took care him at once and he stayed there for 3 days.
Finally we learned that he had a problem with his urethra, his piss where crystalized and he couldn't go for several days. That poisoned his blood and his system started to fail. When I found him he was without peeing at least for 5 days, as the vet said.
Anyway, we saved him.
We took him in the house for the rest of the days until he was fully recovered, we fed him well with special cat food for his condition, and we were petting him all day.
Eventually we discussed wether we were ready to accept in house an other cat, after Lazaraki.
Well, we didn't have much power to decide for our own ,since Mr. Ginger was adorable and so good boy, and we didn't have so many options but to adopt him anyway.
Since then he is with us, an equal member of our family, along with our little dog Buffy, and we live very very happy together! 🐈☺️🤗
