RE: Gorgeous sunrise

Hi.

It is an outdated scope from Steemit from 2016.
The authorship of the content needs to be checked when there is a chance of another identity being stolen and hacking is involved. The safety of the Hive Ecosystem is a priority.
Liketu account creation has been hacked and there have been no checks on part of this app.

Sort:

If you check the account info, you will see that this account was created by me with my account creation tokens, it was not liketu. Not even the post was made thru liketu app, but thru ecency app, he only posted in the liketu community because he was trying it out.

I found that link following the link you posted in your first comment here, shouldn't be outdated.

What if a user doesn't have a web2 social media, or wants to remain anonymous? Isn't his privacy important too?

I see. Thanks for explaining. In that case, I will ask you for their verification instead.
To confirm your authorship of the content, could you please add the link to your Hive blog to your well-established social media account like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter (which has not been recently created)?

I don't understand what you just said.

I will ask you for their verification instead.

You are asking me for their verification??

I would prefer the other account to verify but if it does not want to, you can verify as an option.
You are not obligated to verify if the other account verifies because your account is not considered as possible identity deception.

It seems like he is willing to confirm his account with you. It's up to him, I just don't see any reason for him to do it, if he doesn't want to.
His account was never a threat to Hive Ecosystem, as far as I know he only posted original content and did not break any community rules. I didn't even know if he had another social media account (FB/IG/TT), that's why I asked if you found any of his content elsewhere.

As far as confirming my account, unfortunately it won't be possible the way you want it. I haven't used any web2 social media since 2016. All my content is published exclusively on Hive, and I like to keep my life private, same way as you don't expose yourself. If you want, I'm happy to do a video call with you on discord.

I think your arguments are very weak and you are being close minded. I stepped up to the account I have onboarded in case he wanted to stay private and not connect to other social media (still don't know if he does or not). I know I'm not a big user on hive, but I have contributed enough to be at least trusted when I stepped up and told you I had onboarded him, maybe you could have asked me how I met him just to be sure it wasn't someone that I never knew and just asked me to create an account.

Your own guide talks about the importance of privacy, when to ask and when not to ask. You crossed your own line. You also accused liketu to be hacked on account creations, when they don't even create accounts, looks like you didn't do a minimum research, or you don't know how to express yourself.

Seems like you are just digging a deeper hole, when you could have focused your attention somewhere else that really needs.

I've always supported hivewatchers, but this was very disappointing.

To avoid confusion here, Liketu does not handle account creation. We have a referral to hiveonboard only. Nothing has been 'hacked'.
