Finally, we got to go out!!!
**After about 9 days of rough moments for Jansen with all the tube-feeding and gagging episodes, I could safety say that by today, he is feeling much better today, at least he can eat without feeling painful. I am so thankful for that. One thing he was sure about — he couldn't wait to go out exploring the world again. You see, we had been homebound, and for him, sofa-bound. Therefore, yesterday and today, we got to bring the boys out. It was the last week of school holiday, and I hope we can make full use of it.
Yesterday: Super Marios Brothers!!!
The day we waited for had arrived! Family movie day to watch Super Marios Bros. So glad that Jansen was well, just in time when this movie is out. We thoroughly enjoyed the show so much. It was raining heavily after the show, so we just hang around at the mall for dinner. Finally, we decided to dine at Texas Chicken. I had prepared egg sandwich for Jansen from home because I was not sure what food he could get from the mall. In the end, he couldn't really eat the sandwich as was feeling slightly uncomfortable, so he opted for softer food nearby Texas Chicken — strawberry sundae!!! I ate the egg sandwich for my dinner, while husband and eldest son enjoyed their fried chicken.
Today's Noon time: Going Arcade!!!
He had been wanting to play the Ultraman Fusion Fight but could not go last week due to complications pain. Today, we got to fulfill this activity. Eldest son wanted to reward his little brother, so today's play time at the arcade for this game was sponsored by the eldest son. Such generosity! I couldn't be more proud of him. He passed me the cash and asked me to reload the arcade's credit card. He has grown up so so much!!! They really had so much fun playing it and even got a legendary card! Luck was on our side! I enjoyed watching them play.
Today's Dinner time: Dining with uncles!!!
I had dinner appointment with my brothers and my sons and husband tagged along too. After our awesome dinner and some needed catching up, we walked to the center of the mall to take some photos of the Hari Raya decoration. Turned out none of them was interested for any photos except Jansen. Lol! We are in the midst of Hari Raya celebration, the festival celebrated by our Muslim friends. This year's Hari Raya decoration at this mall is not as impressive as last year but it is alright. We got to see how the settings of our Muslims' houses for Raya celebration.
Little by little, Jansen is eating more, we want to believe every progress is a miracle. He had dropped almost 3 kg this round due to longer days of complications, so we hope his body can catch up on those lost weight as fast as possible. We really give thanks for this recovery and there was not any need to run to emergency. Next up, we will have fluoroscopy test on Jansen to see any blockage or obstruction at his intestine caused by scar adhesion, thereafter to discuss on surgery needed advised by our surgeon. I certainly feel nervous about it but keep reminding myself to pace one day at a time, or else it can be overwhelming.
