Happy birthday to my pretty tall friend :)
Simple ambience on the inside of Whisk cafe.
Whisk's menu
So many cakes to choose from, my friend finally chose carrot cake.
Seats on the outside. Simple. cosy and nice. Look, my friend had chosen her seat right at the end.
Very delicious carrot, everything blended well, not too sweet, just nice and palatable.
Our after-lunch snack. Coffee --- a must!!! Both of us had our 7oz of white.
Coffee cheers to my friend.
Nearer angle of my coffeeeeee....
After our lunch at Sushi Zanmai which I blogged on my previous blog, we still felt something missing, especially my friend who said "I need my coffee!!!" Without any delay, we proceeded to a cafe right opposite of Sushi Zanmai called Whisk Coffee. I had never drank here before because I usually saved up money by drinking coffee at home, but for the birthday girl, let's go to have great coffee session. According to her, she really loved the coffee here. The types of coffee beans and the way they were roasted and prepared suited her taste. So, I got to try at Whisk Coffee for the first time.
Whisk Coffee at KL East Mall
They had been around for many years but only opened here when the mall here started few years back. They have other branches too at Empire Subang, 1Utama, The Starling, Mont Kiara 163, DC Mall, KL East, The Gardens and Mytown, some information for you if you are at Kuala Lumpur. The one at KL East Mall is not too huge a space but good enough for a cosy drink or simple meet-up. For the inside of the cafe, the set up is mostly suitable for working session or remote working considering the small table for one person. The outer section nearby escalator may be suitable for up to 2-3 persons. We obviously chose to sit at the outside section.
Besides coffee, they have hot chcolate and hot matcha too, and some special ones like mochaccino con la nutella and 'gula melaka' latte. If you are tea lover and feels adventurous, you may want to try their XO organic teas.
I asked the birthday girl to choose a cake and she decided on carrot cake, to be shared with me because the sashimi and her ramen still were swimming actively in her stomach, lol. They sold pizza, sandwiches and bagel too, but of course, we could not have those anymore. With our coffee and carrot cakes, we continued to chit chat for hours, haha. Literally everything under the sun could be our topic. I had known her since her college time here and now she is all grown-up and married too. She is someone really reliable, trustworthy friend, always caring, generous and kind. I loved chit chatting with her about life and life's purposes. And always wished her the bestest of bestest.
Friend like her is hard to come by, so I really treasured the hours of time spent with her. Even my husband texted me saying everything at home was awesome and that I did not need to worry about rushing home. Yayyyyy!!! We enjoyed our lunch, our coffee cheers , our carrot and of course it was a great company. God bless my friend in all her endeavour and adventure.

Your post reminds me of when I used to study in a big city a few years ago. These days, I live in a small city where cafes are smaller. They're just as nice to stay for a while and sip some coffee.
Yes, totally love small cafe, cosy and comfortable like this. Quiet and peaceful too for work or chit chat. Thanks for dropping by:)
Birthday 🎉 Blessings Dear Age Gracefully 🙏
