Hoy quiero dedicar unas palabras a mi mami, esa mujer que ha llenado mi vida de amor y enseñanzas. Aunque el tiempo ha pasado y los años han dejado su huella, ella sigue siendo el corazón de nuestra familia. La demencia senil ha hecho que nuestros días sean un poco más desafiantes, pero en esos momentos de lucidez, la veo brillar como antes, recordando anécdotas y riendo con su particular sentido del humor.
A veces, cuando estoy sentada a su lado, me sorprendo al escuchar sus historias, esos relatos que me han acompañado desde pequeña. Esos instantes son tesoros que guardo con cariño en mi corazón. Cada sonrisa que me regala, cada vez que me mira con amor, me recuerda lo afortunada que soy de tenerla en mi vida.
Estamos esperando la cita médica con el neurólogo, una oportunidad para entender mejor lo que está pasando y encontrar maneras de ayudarla. Sé que, pase lo que pase, siempre estaré a su lado. Mi mami es mi inspiración, y cada día, aunque difícil, refuerza el lazo inquebrantable que compartimos. Te amo, mami, hoy y siempre.

Today I want to dedicate a few words to my mommy, that woman who has filled my life with love and teachings. Although time has passed and the years have left their mark, she continues to be the heart of our family. Senile dementia has made our days a little more challenging, but in those moments of lucidity, I see her shining as before, remembering anecdotes and laughing with her particular sense of humor.
Sometimes, when I am sitting next to her, I am surprised to hear her stories, those stories that have accompanied me since I was a little girl. Those moments are treasures that I hold dear to my heart. Every smile she gives me, every time she looks at me with love, reminds me how lucky I am to have her in my life.
We are waiting for the doctor's appointment with the neurologist, an opportunity to better understand what she is going through and find ways to help her. I know that no matter what happens, I will always be by her side. My mommy is my inspiration, and every day, though difficult, reinforces the unbreakable bond we share.
