Treating My Parents

It's not always common that I get the chance to go out with my mom and dad because my dad is away from us most of his life providing us with a living and all the support we need. Last week he went home for a little vacation, so I want to spoil him with snacks. He is not the kind of father who likes to eat fancy food. He prefers "lutong-bahay" (home-cooked meals), but this time he agreed to join his granddaughter for light snacks. We went to Coffee Madness, one of our favorite places, right near our house. We ordered his pizza of choice (Hawaiian Pizza) and Chicken Alfredo pasta. I also ordered fries for our princess and brought us a cold drink. We enjoyed our conversations, especially my father's plan to buy a lot in Iloilo Province and his retirement plans. I would like to spend this moment with him with other siblings. I hope we can all be together for the big meeting next year.
