A gentle reminder during the training 😁
Hello hive bees! How are you? I missed y'all. I have been very busy these past few months and have been occupied with work. Despite, I am still able to read your blogs from time to time. 🫶 Speaking of work, let me share with you my experience I had in the 2-day training that my company conducted. Enjoy! 🤗
Pursuing the best versions of the employees is one of the kindest things that my company is providing us. For companies, they would consider trainings as investments and those, indeed, gives us the opportunity to grow and thrive more to be better than yesterday and to be more confident for tomorrow.
I had the chance to be part of a 2-day training that our company initiated. I freshly remembered that this was the first face to face training after a 2 years of virtual trainings because of the pandemic crisis. I was luckily chosen as the representative of our section and excited for the learnings as well as the face to face set-up.
The 2-day training entitled, “FUNDAMENTALS OF PURCHASING,” was held in Cebu Grand Hotel at Cebu City PH last August 26-27, 2022. The resource speaker was from PISM (Philippine Institute of Supply Management), ma’am Jo Ann Navalta. I can say that because of the speaker, there was no dull moments. Well let’s be honest people, whenever your companies held some trainings like this one, there should be dull moments when, for example, you choose to not to listen and just let time pass by or you get so sleepy and just watch the speaker’s actions without entirely listening. I am right, aren’t I? 😂
Not this one. I mean, she’s so comfortable to listen to and very knowledgeable of what she says. Perhaps because she shares her personal and professional experiences to us which was a plus! I listened to what she had explained and shared. I even got some notes! 😁
We were about 30 lucky individuals of the 2-day training with a certificate of participation. Most of the participants are basically from the supply chain who are really connected to purchasing. Ma’am Ruby Ann, our purchasing manager, was very supportive. I really liked her ever since not only because how she speaks fluently in English 😅 but also because on how she always supports her team - the purchasing.
To wrap this up, I believe that trainings are vital for self growth. This would allow us to scope quickly from any changes because we already had the training and knowledge about it. I am thankful for the knowledge and the friends I have made with this training. I am hoping for more trainings in the future. Thank you for your time in reading my blog today. I hope you had fun! Have a Joyceful day! 😊
