Thank God It's Friday, hive bees! 🤸♀️ Weekend plans? Well, if you are looking for an ambiance where you can relax with nature, well, let me introduce this place called Bamboo Forest located at Medellin, Cebu PH. The place is literally a forest of bamboos!
This trip of ours is just a side trip from our Malapascua escapade (which I will be sharing with you soonest) and t’was just a quick decision between me and my boyfriend when we decided to go to this relaxing place. Perhaps because the place was just along our way to get home and agreed to take some pics. Like, why not? Let’s go to this place that has been viral in social media a couple of months back. 😅
The facade of the place is a huge red gate. Looking from the outside, it felt like the community is isolating and protecting their tourist attraction. I guess, just seeing the “carenderias” or food stalls positioned outside transcend that they have been doing a good business and the attraction helped their businesses to grow. A real Filipino mindset, indeed.
Upon entering, there is a Php30 ($0.6) fee per head with an unlimited time strolling inside the forest. I didn’t notice that the kid I met outside was the same kid greeted us upon entering. He automatically approached us and asked if we wanted someone to take us pictures. I just smiled and thought that the kid was “madiskarte nga bata” or a strategic kid 🤙🏻. We tipped him Php50 ($1) for his kindness. Inside, there are clean comfort rooms, a lot of photo booths and kimono dress rentals that completes the Korean/Japanese ambiance of the place, right? My bad. I didn’t try to rent kimono.
Hanging umbrellas added more color to the place. It means another picture taking 😅
I hope you had a great time reading my blog today and took your minds to this place imagining the peace and relief. Bye for now and have a joyceful day! 🤗

The Bamboo Forest in Medellin, Cebu, sounds like a tranquil and picturesque place to visit. It's great that you and your boyfriend decided to make a quick stop there on your way home from your Malapascua trip. The large red gate at the entrance adds a sense of intrigue, and it's interesting to see how local businesses have benefited from the attraction.
It was really worth the visit, @ilmaffeiano78. The peace and tranquility are its assets. The foods from the business of the people were so delicious especially the original Cebuano food,"tuslob buwa." It is a food from the pig's brain seasoned with different spices and eaten through directly dipping the rice from the cauldron. 😀
They are really beautiful photographs. I love the touch that the umbrellas give it.
I couldn’t agree more! The umbrellas added more colors. I hope you visit this place soon and thank you for dropping by, @zulfrontado 😊
I really like bamboo, this forest is wonderful for me. Thanks for sharing this shots
Agree, me too! Bamboos are considered as the fastest growing plant on Earth which concludes that it produces more oxygen. Thank you also for dropping by and I appreciate your kind words, @stefano.massari! 😊
thanks for this answer, I didn't know that bamboo produced a lot of oxygen. At this point I have to admit that I appreciate this plant even more
Thank you! 😊
