Hace unas semanas atrás participé en la emulación de una pintura para una evaluación de Cámara que le correspondía a un compañero, esta semana me tocaba a mí realizar esta evaluación; la pintura de referencia que elegí fue "Allegory of Patience" de Carlo Dolci por cómo está trabajada la luz y, sobre todo, la forma en qué se muestran las manos, la cuál es una de las partes de cuerpo que más me gustan o atraen.
Algo que tenía muy claro es que yo misma quería ser la modelo de mi foto, debido a que yo amo mucho mis manos y mis clavículas, elementos que son protagonistas de la foto; decidí eliminar la cara debido a que quería que el foco principal fuesen las manos.
A few weeks ago I participated in the emulation of a painting for a Camera evaluation that corresponded to a colleague, this week it was my turn to make this evaluation; the reference painting I chose was “Allegory of Patience" by Carlo Dolci because of how the light is worked and, above all, the way in which the hands are shown, which is one of the parts of the body that I like or attract the most.
Something I had very clear is that I myself wanted to be the model of my photo, because I love my hands and my clavicles, elements that are the protagonists of the photo; I decided to eliminate the face because I wanted the main focus to be the hands.
Aunque la iluminación fue bastante sencilla de emular, lo complicado fue llegar a las tonalidades correctas de temperatura o balance de blancos; aparte que no es lo mismo tomarle la foto a una tercera persona que hacértela a ti misma, aunque mis compañeros me ayudaron muchísimo, igualmente fue un reto poder lograr el enfoque adecuado, la colorización correcta.
Luego de haber logrado ajustar todo, solo quedó tomar la foto que fue la parte más sencilla; la verdad amé demasiado el resultado final, considero que quedo casi igual a lo que tenía en mente y eso me hace sentir muy orgullosa de mí misma.
Although the lighting was quite simple to emulate, the tricky part was to get the right shades of temperature or white balance; besides it is not the same to take the picture to a third person than to take it yourself, although my colleagues helped me a lot, it was still a challenge to achieve the right focus, the correct colorization.
After adjusting everything, the only thing left to do was to take the picture, which was the easiest part; I really loved the final result, I think it was almost the same as what I had in mind and that makes me feel very proud of myself.
Este semestre fue increíble, puedo decir que ha sido uno de mis favoritos por mucho pero sin dudas las clases de cámara han sido una de las que más he disfrutado y las que me abrieron las puertas a una gran oportunidad en el campo de trabajo de mi carrera; esta noticia la comentaré luego como todas los cambios que traerá consigo pero es algo que me tiene muy feliz y orgullosa de mí misma.

This semester was amazing, I can say that it has been one of my favorites by far but without a doubt the camera classes have been one of the ones I have enjoyed the most and the ones that opened the doors to a great opportunity in the field of work of my career; I will comment this news later as all the changes that it will bring but it is something that has me very happy and proud of myself.
