Hey guys!
I cannot believe it has almost been 3 weeks since my last post here on Hive. Highest time to come with something new. If you have ever been to the Czech Republic, you have probably heard of the Karlstejn Castle, one of the most famous and beautiful castles in the country. I recently visited this monumental piece of medieval architecture and I will surely post about it in future too but let me first show you how the actual town of Karlstejn looks like.
Home to just some 800 people, Karlstejn is a very little town (or village) just a short train ride from Prague but in summer, it gets crowded with tourists and visitors who come here to see the castle. The town is very charming too and it has a lot to offer. From all kinds of souvenirs, restaurants, pubs, and delicious Italian ice cream shops to museum, art gallery and even a craft brewery.
You will get to see most of these places on your way from the train station up to the castle so you can just walk, relax and admire all those picturesque streets. That´s what we did too on our last visit to Karlstejn. We haven´t been there for 10 years so we were eager to see how the place changed and if it still keeps its special, fairy tale like vibes. And we were happy to find out that it does 🙂
Here is the first part of my little photography tour around the town of Karlstejn.
Enjoy!
