It's still summer weather in Prague and the sun is shining.
Today I will introduce you to the main market in Madeira, which is called Mercado dos Lavradores and is located in Funchal.
First of all, I love this kind of market wherever we are in the world. Everything smells beautiful, is fresh and is of amazing quality.
The market was opened in 1940 and is decorated with traditional Azulejo depicting regional themes.
Literally everything can be bought on the market. Here you will find fruits, vegetables, flowers, local beverages, spices, fish and seafood.

Everything is indeed looking fresh and lovely in the market. I spotted so many different types of passion fruit. I did not realise there were so many varieties. I have been to Funchal but not to the market. Thanks for sharing.
That means only one thing, you have to go back to Funchal. Because this is a place that must be experienced;)
