As long as you don't feel you're entitled to rewards then that's not a problem. As you may be well aware, old timers self entitlement has always been an issue

We have talked about it. You know my thoughts about it. And People have been thinking for years that I come as entitled when I am just speaking my mind as a content creator and an artist on the platform. If "we" really want HIVE to be the social blockchain that everyone talks about, if "we" want to people to create accounts, join, start creating content and stay here, I feel that the mentality of the ones on the top that have invested or earned with the years HP, the mentality of those people have to change. Or otherwise people will just come, stay for a second and stop using it. Because in the end they are getting the same that they do on centralised, not rewarded social media platforms, with the disadvantage that probably none of their friends and family are here for them to share their social stuff. We have seen that happening for many years now. I told you, the majority of content creators that I met on the blockchain have left for lack of support, many good content creators.
If having a different opinion and getting it out there make of me someone entitled, well, that is for the community to decided. And clearly from the results I get with my content, I think it is very clear that the biggest majority of the other old timers have already made that decision about me, even if the majority of them never even had an interaction with me.
I personally don't think I am the issue but that is just my opinion, that since I don't have much HP doesn't count a lot right?
No one has ever mentioned anything about those at the top vs those who don't have much HP, but it seems like you make a big deal out of it. There are many big stakeholders who are dormant investors, and many who actively support a lot of users either through direct curation or delagation to guilds. And for every quality content curator you know that has left due to lack of support, I can guarantee that there are many others who have stayed due to the support they get. I'm not sure how you expect 'those at the top' to change their mentality. And ave you ever asked those who have left to change their mentality? Things works both ways you know?
There's nothing wrong with voicing your opinion, Hive can't silence anyone. If it could, you can be sure you won't be first in line.
You know that is not true. And in the past many were silenced. With the power of the downvote. But that is one of the reasons we are all here, the power of the community. Well I guess I have more of a utopic vision of what HIVE should be and I think not many share that vision. I guess that also I come from a different point of view, where obviously making rewards and getting money with my content is important but I am more into the creation and social side of it. Believe me when I talk about people that left were people that were here in hopes of building a community and find ways to be able to share their craft in the meanwhile. I am not only talking about photographer, I am talking about of people with many different backgrounds. And I have seen them trying many different things to be able to generate a stream of income that would make worth the time and work they were investing in creating for the community and never got the return. I myself have tried it all to "please" the crowds and come up with content in ways that people would enjoy. But many of the times by doing it I then it was when I would lose myself and what I am all about, then was the moments that I would realise that I was becoming someone that was posting "just for money". So yes I think the creators and artists must do some adapting to the platforms and communities they are trying to create and be part of.
But as you said, for the majority of the community in here I will always be an old timer, and that's how will people will always see me. And I won't accept the fact that you say that I am the one wrong, I am the one that should change it all, when I have tried so many different things to adapt and still... that was never enough.
As good and important I think freedom of speech is, and the liberty of talking. Many in here won't ever really talk their mind, specially if they are in a position where they are receiving support, because those ideas might lose them the support they getting it.
We have seen it happen over and over again. That is not something new and that's just how the system works.
People also like to bring back the paid bots, how bad they were, and say that since there is nothing of that no more things now are way different. But from my experience, things are not so much different from those times.
We clearly see it differently. You have your experience and I don't take any value on that. But I have my experience with the community as well and you can't take that from me.
