I would not call El Paraíso (translated as Paradise) a favela. It was once a troubled area, but thanks to government subsidies, it has become a showcase community with cheerful house paint, great graffiti, and a three-stop cable car free of charge to locals. El Paraíso observation deck is located at an altitude of about 3000 meters above sea level, so the head can spin not only from the view of the Colombian capital.
