A 20-minute walk from the colonial town of Villa de Leyva is a very unusual house, built entirely of baked clay. The walls of the house, all the furniture inside and kitchen utensils are made of their clay. In fact, the Colombian architect Octavio Mendoza made the world's largest ceramic piece. Initially, Mendoza built a house to live in it himself with friends, but the object attracted such a flow of tourists that the architect abandoned this idea and transferred the building to the museum.
