Anyone would think these photo's were taken on Mars!
These were taken today in Gibraltar during the Sahara sandstorm, the aftermath of Storm Celia.
I was sat in the office and could gradually see the sky changing colour to a deep orange tone. At first I thought perhaps the windows are tinted, but no. This is actually the colour of the sky.
We are currently in our rainy season so the heavy rain has mixed with the dust storm and created a mud rain... some call it blood rain! The clay is so thick and has covered everything in sight. I was wearing black and ended up completely covered from head to toe.
I quite liked my new red, clay freckles over my face.
I am captivated by these photos, I wonder what the sky will look like tomorrow..

Wow, that's really odd. I've read once that the Saharan sand is so important that it influences the Amazon forest 👀
is there life on mars?
"It's a God-awful small affair
To the girl with the mousy hair
But her mummy is yelling, "No"
And her daddy has told her to go"
Is there life on Mars?
What the..? Had no idea Gibraltar can look like this.. Always assumed it was just sunny and blue all year round!
I know right! this started off as a normal rainstorm and during the course of the day the sky turned this colour orange. We still have clay on the roads :>
