Central Madeirense es el nombre de una de las cadenas de supermercados más grandes que existe aquí en Venezuela y una de las que más ha perdurado con el paso de los años. Recuerdo que cuando yo era una niña solía acompañar a mi abuela a hacer mercado a este lugar, ¿qué hubiese imaginado la Mary de siete años que la su yo de 27 años acudiría con frecuencia a tomar café y comer en la cafetería que se encuentra dentro del Central? Por aquel entonces eso de las cafeterías dentro del Supermercado era algo impensable, ahora más bien parece una especie de ¿moda, quizás?
Esta se llama Lanche Café y tiene una propuesta bastante interesante. Una de mis cosas favoritas de esta cafetería es el wrap de vegetales con jamón ahumado y queso mozzarella, ¡una delicia! además de que es de esas comidas rápidas que pueden salvarte la cena. Otro punto adicional es que en el interior de las tazas donde te sirven el café siempre podrás encontrar una frase motivadora, algo que puede resultar encantador para quienes solemos romantizar un poco la vida.
Esta vez quedamos un poco decepcionadas, ¿dónde está nuestro café con la taza que te regala frases? En su lugar, el café fue servido en esta oportunidad en vasos desechables, pero aún así eso no fue impedimento para disfrutarlo en compañía de una galleta que también venden en el local. Elegí la galleta rellena de Nutella para mí y la de chispas de chocolate para mi hermana luego de que me dijera: "elige una qué se parezca a mí" pero Dios mio, ¡qué compromiso!
La textura de la galleta era de esas sumamente suave y un poco chiclosa. Me alegró saber que el relleno era 100% Nutella y no esas cremas de avellanas que suelen venderlas como la verdadera Nutella. El contraste de lo dulce de la galleta con lo amargo del café es uno de esos placeres que no cambiaría por nada. Tenía días sin sentarme con tranquilidad a disfrutar de un café en alguna cafetería y realmente me hacía falta, este tipo de momentos son los que me traen mucha paz y me recargan de buena energía.

Back then, coffee shops inside the supermarket were unthinkable, now it seems more like a kind of fashion, perhaps?
This one is called Lanche Café and it has quite an interesting proposal. One of my favorite things about this cafeteria is the vegetable wrap with smoked ham and mozzarella cheese, a delight, plus it's one of those quick meals that can save your dinner. Another additional point is that inside the cups where they serve coffee you can always find a motivational phrase, something that can be charming for those of us who tend to romanticize life a little.
This time we were a little disappointed, where is our coffee with the cup that gives you phrases? Instead, the coffee was served this time in disposable cups, but still that was not an impediment to enjoy it in the company of a cookie that they also sell at the store. I chose the Nutella-filled cookie for me and the chocolate chip cookie for my sister after she said, "pick one that looks like me," but my God, what a compromise!
The texture of the cookie was one of those extremely soft and slightly chewy ones. I was happy to know that the filling was 100% Nutella and not those hazelnut creams that are usually sold as real Nutella. The contrast of the sweetness of the cookie with the bitterness of the coffee is one of those pleasures I wouldn't trade for anything. I had days without sitting quietly to enjoy a coffee in a coffee shop and I really needed it, this kind of moments are the ones that bring me a lot of peace and recharge me with good energy.

Realmente es una moda, pero que es bastante funcional para cuando hay mucha gente comprando, puedes hacer tiempo y comer la merienda ahí, o puedes quedar con alguien que no se va a perder al momento de llegar.
Hace tiempo que no salgo por un café, estoy loca porque se vaya ya el verano para empezar mis andanzas en los cafés de la ciudad.
