Today was my first day trying out the sumo deadlift stance (wider legs with arms inside).
I failed 140kg 2/3 attempts over the last few weeks with my old stance (arms outside of legs), but managed to pull 140kg today using sumo!
This stance is putting way less stress on my lower back as I can stay more upright, and I am engaging legs more. My lifetime PB is 150kg deadlift - I tried this today and failed, but I'm hype to keep hitting deads hard the next few weeks and see if I can get 150 again. I definitely want a PB in the next few months. Stay tuned!
This stance is new to me so I definitely need to work on the technique. If there are any experienced deadlifters here who can give me any tips I'd appreciate it! I.e. not 100% sure exactly how wide my legs should be, or what angle is optimal for my feet to be in. But I guess I'll have to keep experimenting and find what works most comfortably.

Great idea to try out the "Sumo" I think it will help you build up your hamstrings faster with reduced strain on the lower back. New PB pending...
