Here where I live, I see it all the time, especially at this time of year. I don't know exactly why, but they have chosen this place for their transformation, and there are many of them. Almost every day I see a few newborns emerging from their cocoons.
What always strikes me is that they all have the same colors, except for this one, which I photographed. I've never seen a butterfly of this species around here before. Or is it the same species, but something happened to make it have different colors?
It was impossible not to notice it. I'm used to seeing the same type of butterfly all the time and suddenly a completely different one appears! It stayed there on the ground in my backyard for a good few minutes, stretching out and experiencing life in a new way. Its wings moved slowly up and down, as if testing the new mechanics of its own body.
I'm always impressed by nature and the things that, at first glance, seem simple, but are actually incredibly complex. We just get used to them. Butterflies, for me, are beautiful and intriguing.

Suas asas se moviam lentamente para cima e para baixo, como se testasse essa nova mecânica do próprio corpo.
Sempre me impressiono com a natureza e com as coisas que, à primeira vista, parecem simples, mas que, na verdade, são incrivelmente complexas. Apenas nos acostumamos a elas. Borboletas, para mim, são lindas e intrigantes.
