Grasshoppers can seemingly blend into their surroundings, and by the time you notice them, they are already hopping away. I find that they are not an easy subject to follow if you're looking to get some close ups. I found all of these different ones almost randomly, I think the only real common thing is that it was a hot day in each instance, which likely slowed them down and made it so I was more likely to find one resting, which gave me just enough time to get a bit closer for some shots.
