Back in September I shared a few photographs from my DJI Mini 2 over the coast of the East of England. A few shots from above as the sun began to set and the rain slowly crept on in. I completely forgot that I had a few photographs that I took with my phone that same day.

They aren't all that great given the mobile camera quality, but some of the tones are pretty nice for the sunset. I think they show a pretty accurate coastline here where the colours can be quite flat and the overall atmosphere is that of general silence and peace. With the birds around to be heard, the slow waves rolling in, and not much else.

Part of me wishes I took my 35mm Canon AE-1 with me and took some photographs on film format instead, but the roll that sits in my idle camera at the moment isn't really suited for low light conditions. Nor are my lenses all that equipped for such an open aperture.

Regardless, I want to challenge myself to take more pictures again, since I have somewhat put such a big passion of mine aside this year. I want to get back into it, encouraging myself to create more and see the world in its many angles. Perhaps I'll start off small and try to take a single photograph each day, not caring as to how close to perfection it is or whether it is from my phone. Just enjoying the process again!

One thing I always enjoy about these little photography posts of mine is how much I end up reflecting on things through them. Posting a few photographs and then looking at them to see how I feel about things then and now. What needs changing? What could be better? These are things I'd usually keep to myself otherwise.

The sunset looks so cute..

We get some really beautiful ones around this time of year. The whole atmosphere of autumn and the colours the sunsets begin to create are wonderful. The best part is you also don't have to wait until 10pm to see them! Haha.
