Hello my friends of Hive, it has been a long time since I last wrote because I was engrossed in my studies at the University. It has been a very hard year, but thank God we have finished this semester, until the new school year starts in October.
I will share with you some pictures of the Fidel Center in Vedado, Havana, Cuba. That place is impressive, but those details will be for another presentation!
On this occasion I will tell you that it was our last meeting of the subject "Information Services" where we visited the Library located inside that center. There we learned a lot about the information services they offer and the personalized attention they give to different groups such as blind people with their braille system, something that is not very usual in other places.
For us it was an unforgettable experience and more than pleasant to be able to enjoy their reading rooms (masterful). We were accompanied that day by two of our professors from the Faculty, where as a practical class they were teaching us all the advanced technology so that the users feel pleased and can receive the answers to their informational needs.
I think that there was much more to see and learn, so another visit to this wonderful place is necessary. I hope you like the images and that, if you like the peace, harmony and tranquility of an exceptional place, you can have that experience personally.

Hola a mis amigos de Hive, hace mucho tiempo no escribía ya que me encontraba enfrascada en los estudios de la Universidad. Ha sido un año bien fuerte, pero gracias a Dios ya concluimos este semestre, hasta que comience el nuevo curso escolar en el mes de octubre.
Les comparto unas imágenes del Centro de Fidel en el Vedado, La Habana, Cuba. ¡Ese lugar es impresionante, pero esos detalles serán para otra presentación!
En esta ocasión les comentaré que fue nuestro último encuentro de la asignatura de “Servicios de Información” donde visitamos la Biblioteca que se encuentra dentro de ese centro. Allí aprendimos mucho sobre los servicios de información que ofrecen y la atención personalizada que le brindan a diferentes grupos como personas ciegas con su sistema braille, algo que no es muy usual en otros lugares.
Para nosotros fue una experiencia inolvidable y más que agradable al poder disfrutar de sus salas de lectura (magistrales). Nos acompañaron ese día dos de nuestras profesoras de la Facultad, donde como clase práctica nos fueron enseñando toda la tecnología avanzada para que los usuarios se sientan complacidos y puedan recibir las respuestas a sus necesidades informacionales.
Pienso que faltó mucho más por ver y aprender por lo que se impone otra visita a ese lugar maravilloso. Espero les gusten las imágenes y que, si les gusta la paz, la armonía y la tranquilidad de un lugar excepcional puedan tener esa experiencia a título personal.
