I don't know about you but the last few weeks have told me one thing, life is slowly going back to how it used to be pre-Covid. I can freely travel within my country now and in most places, wearing masks have been optional even inside establishments (hotels, malls, etc.). Social distancing is no longer a thing and every time people around you have coughs and colds, you won't be bothered at all. Gladly, things have normalized! 😊
For our company, we've been waiting for this moment for the last three years. We're used to huge gatherings for our annual company-wide Christmas Party. In both 2020 and 2021, we ended up celebrating it online. It was great but, of course, nothing compares to the grand and festive in-person party.
And about two weeks ago, the event we've been craving for all these years is finally back. Our theme was Pasko sa Virginia (Christmas in Virginia): A Night of Modern Filipiniana. I've said this a couple of times, I am the extremely practical type of person. In my five years of celebrating our annual company-wide Christmas Party, I haven't rented a ball gown or bought a customized dress for the occasion. I always end up spending less than $10. All thanks to thrift stores! But this year, I initially thought of splurging. Yaay! 😁 "It's something to celebrate", I reasoned out. But then after thorough internal deliberation I decided it's not practical to shell out at least $40 for a gown that I can only use once. Well I can but I wouldn't. 🤪 So I ended up buying a white dress that I can use in other events and occasions for only $16. And how I transformed a simple dress to a Modern Filipiniana look? Well, all thanks to my boyfriend who was beyond supportive from helping me choose my accessories to looking for a bolero that will compliment my dress. If you're reading this love, you're the best. 😘
Our Division, Sales and Marketing, hosted this year's Christmas Party. On this light, we had to perform the opening production number. Time wasn't on our side; it was near impossible to squeeze in everyone's schedules and make sure we show up in our evening dance practices. How did we even managed to finish everything? 🤔 I haven't seen the official video of our production number. But we definitely nailed it. So happy! 👌
As if I wasn't stoke enough in the party, my officemates and some people from other departments went with us for the real deal LOL! Let me just say it now: The after party was insane! We stayed and partied until the wee hours of the following day. I haven't partied in 4 years so yeah, you can just imagine how stoked and happy I was to do it again. I was even hoping that we can extend the partying until sunrise but some of our officemates had to report in the office the following day. Ahh, I can recall what happened that night and I find myself smiling from ear to ear! 😁
Thank you guys for the amazing time! Will definitely party again with you @eatslance @justklaire @youreuniverse @mrandmrscanama 😍🎉
