Around end of Q3 last year, one of the supermall chains in the Philippines called SM, renovated a portion its SM Cebu City branch. During a random visit in this mall, we were able to witness a one of a kind food hall or what we fondly call in the Philippines as food court. The food hall showcases some unique selection from green salad to ramen, dimsum, soufle cake, shakes, etc. You name it, they have it! This is on top of the other restaurants and the old food court located in this mall's lower ground floor.
Aside from the curated food stalls, the refreshing and modern interior of the new food court attracts both locals and tourists who pass by; it could be a destination on its own. We got a hot mixed meat Claypot Rice and a salad. The hotpot from Dai Pai Dong was said to be Hongkong-inspired although I didn't found a trace of the country's taste when I ate it; it's a bit pricey for what we got. It's mostly just soy-flavored rice, the meat portioning could be improved. On the other hand, the salad was on point! We got it because as much as possible, we ensure we inccorporate greens in our meals. It's our attempt to do so that night and we didn't go wrong with this choice. It's got the crown!
If you're from Cebu and haven't dropped by SM City Cebu's new food hall, you better do so! 😍
