As a home-based online teacher, it's very lonely and boring because I don’t get to personally meet my co-teachers at school. Due to that loneliness seeping inside my body, I decided to join this group in Facebook that I came across. It was great to see that there are many teachers working in the same place where I live. I grab the opportunity to message them and join a group chat on messenger.
It's been already two years since I joined the group and I am already familiar with some teachers and made a good relationship with them. We keep on planning to hang out, maybe at some local coffee shop or relax at a beach but unfortunately, it never happened. It was only recently that our plans came to its fruition. Although we weren’t able to go on a beach trip, at least we were able to hang out at a coffee shop just like what we originally planned.
I was the first to arrive at the place and I didn't care how many people would come because it's common to cancel but to my surprise, all of them arrive and I am so happy to see my virtual co-teachers. It was really fun hanging out with them! We bought a lot of drinks while chitchatting about our experiences during the class. We even shared some tips and suggestions to gain more students. And right before we parted way, we promised to hang out again in the future! Hopefully, it will be on a beach!
I am looking forward to seeing them again soon.
