Hoplia-crumb, or small flowerhopper (Hoplia parvula)

It belongs to the family Scarabeaidae (it also includes the well-known May beetles), which has about 30 thousand. species.
Body length 7-9.5 mm.

The female lays eggs in the soil. The larvae develop in the soil and feed on the roots of plants. Their length is 1.7-2.4 cm. After winter they pupate.

They live on sandy and loamy soils near rivers, also in the forest-steppe.
Meet from May to mid-September. Active during the day. They feed on leaves.
