Lawang Sewu is the name of this historic building. This building has become a symbol of the city of Semarang, Indonesia. Because everyone who comes to Central Java Regency usually takes the time to stop by this historical tour. I myself am very interested in the unique architecture of the building coupled with community stories about the mystery of this place, making me a lot more curious. This unique building is a relic of the Dutch colonial era, and there is a lot of interesting history to explore from the building if you are a history writer.

What was the building originally used for? What is it used for today?

In the past, this building was built for the railway headquarters during the Dutch colonial period. Now the building has become an Indonesian cultural property made into a museum and tourist spot.
