We ended covering up all the unfinished gaps with old clothes, plastic and whatever could get the job done.
We begin the bed by assembling 8 pallets in rows of four each. This gives enough space for a double bed and then some. The extra space works nicely as steps to come down, as well as storage for some things.
Mattress and bed were both recycled from places where they weren't needed anymore.
Since the mattress was a bit dirty, this cover was necessary.
The bed finally in place with @fenngen having a hard time getting out of it.
Beautiful to wake up in this scenery.
We added some curtains in the back to help insulate and add some more color to the house.
We enjoyed some brunch of fried zucchini with home made bread, which helped the mood on a snowy day.
Despite the hardness of the weather, we try our best to stay positive and not get sucked into the dark emotions that the lack of sunlight summon. Staying strong till spring arrives!
Hey Hivers and Liketuers, we've been out for a while settling into our house. Though it's unfinished, it already provides a lot of warmth and we were in a bit if a hurry to move here due to complex social relationships 😅
We ran from human drama but that of course isn't free of drama either. Here it's a daily work to keep things warm and there's also an uninvited guest of furry nature that makes a lot of noise (guess what it is).
Still, there's plenty to be grateful for. We've finally built a place that is of the liking of us both and we're happy to be practicing a way of Life that we believe in.
Hope you enjoyed the post, thanks for tuning in. Have a great weekend 💓
