Summer cool drink with some offers

Have you ever tasted a Lassi ? Not aware of it ? Well, there is a Wiki for it as well, and I am talking about the sweet Lassi. Originally it used to be buttermilk with sugar and a pinch of salt (for taste) , I remember, that is what we used to call Lassi in our childhood. It was always home made then. But over the time, it has evolved to a form that can have anything that makes it more tasty.

I had gone to the market to bring some household items, but after seeing this new shop and it's ambience, I really could not resist trying out one. And look at that offer - if you drink a lassi between 23rd February to 22nd March and you get a free lucky coupon and stand in a chance to win a cycle or a fan or a pressure cooker. Too good, isn't it ?

Let me show you the interior of this shop. The owner definitely knows how to attract customer - now a days the ambience matters a lot. If the set up does not look well, then people won't come.

It has got a big TV as well as an aquarium. Quite a posh set up for relaxation with a lassi, isn't it ?

So they have two variants - one with plain butter milk and coconut all the above ingredients costs 30 rupees. And the special comes with Coconut, Chhena , Rabri and all the above ingredients - costs 50 rupees. They prepare a separate special mix and keep it ready in the freezer.

The mud pot is not free - you have to pay extra 5 rupees for that. So I decided to go for a special in mud pot. And it was too good at such a price of 55/-. That is the difference compared to big cities - you literally get most of the things cheaper here. Because they also get these raw materials cheap - the butter milk, the Chhena, the Rabri. Here is how both the versions look - the mud pot was for me.

They won't mind you giving extra stuffs if asked. I liked it so much that I ordered one more with only butter milk, Chhena and Rabri - I thought, he would charge me same but he just took 20/- for the second one. Seems he knows how to attract customer coming back again.

And I did not forget the lucky coupon, who knows, I could probably win that cycle 😘 - looking at the coupon, I did not feel it would be a fair selection, but anyways...

I am definitely going back again - the lady called me at that time and I told I am at a Lassi shop and you know what would have happened - I have to take her as well now :)

By the way, is there some issues going with @liketu ? I got a 504 Gateway time-out error, so posting the Liketu community from peakd.

I've never heard of Lassi but it looks and sounds really good. The mud pot is a nice touch as well.
It would be nice to win one of those prizes. Good luck!

I can see a white minded man in the selfie you took while eating lassi. I was amazed at the way this shop was arranged. Much like marriage home

It's so delicious, it's the first time I've seen how it is prepared, thanks for sharing this photos😊My favorite types are Mango and chocolate lassi and you?

Well, I don't like chocolate , and for Mango, I just like it in plane form - Mango juice. Anything added to mango juice takes away it's original taste, so a chilled mango juice is mind blowing when you come from a hot summer.

Do you add some mint leaves? it has refreshing flavour. I like it

mint leaves would go well with only plain lassi, we do add it for our home made plain lassi - not with all these ingredients.

So Enjoying lassi in, I hope it is delicious. It is good for stomach. Once you drink, It is also healthy and nutrient, I think they garnished with Rabdi and dry foods like cashew,

Yes, it's always very tasty - about to go back.

Today is my fasting also. if possible, i will visit to Lingaraj temple,Bhubaneswar on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri. Somebody told me that, one lassi stall is there, it is very famous in Bhubaneswar,

Ohhhh! Lassi and that is with Rabri. I am already salivating. Hmmmmm... The sight of the glass is sumptuous...

And the call of your wife. Hehe. Now bring her soon, else you are gone 😉

The sight of the glass is sumptuous...

Sometimes they call it Tandoori Lassi :) just for the name. The lady will not spare me this time, so I had to promise to take her :) And yes the son and daughter are free add-ons :) I realized later, I should not have told.

I realized later, I should not have told.

Hehe. Then you would be doubted by her. You won't be spare any way.
I hope you would have another session of this yummy lassi with your family.

I haven't heard the name Tandoori Lassi before. It is an info for me 😊

Wow, this looks so tempting! Putting Bournvita on top is new to me. If I ever visit that part of the country, i must try.

Also, did you win anything from the lucky draw?

Well the lucky draw will be after 22nd March, not sure, if it will be fair though. I think, you also get similar Lassi in North sides like Delhi and other cities ?

In Delhi we get all forms of flavored Lassi, the most common and I must say loved one is Mango Lassi. People love to have it in summers. And there there are the ones topped with loads of nuts and cream. North Delhi and Lassi go hand in hand no doubt.

I would call it a Mango juice - just plain chilled mango juice or shake - adding anything else takes away the mango mood :)

Haha, that's what Mazza and Fruity and a lot of Juice brands have to offer. Taste is always subjective, one's favourite might be other's hatred. But I kind of agree, Mango and Lassi don't go hand in hand for me. The only mango drink I like is Mango Shake.

Mazza and Fruity do not contain that pulp :) We have same liking🤛

Hell yeah! So we must do a food tour once you are in Delhi or I am at your place 😁

The kulhad lassi looks tasty ok the photo and hope the taste was yum too..

Astonishing. The place is colorful and the setup is absolutely amazing, can't imagine an acquarium in such a place, but goodness me! This is awesome. I've never tasted a Lassi, I imagine it it to very creamy and all that.
As for liketu end, I think it's one of those outage and it'll be back I guess.

@tipu curate

May be time to open a start up in Nigeria, lol :)

Hahaha I don't think anyone would like a Lassi made my me 😁😁😁

I did not say, you will make it :)

The shopkeeper knows how to capture customers very well. He knows this time around that he values customers more than profit. seen you tasted lassi very well .

In our country summer is coming too. In this weather it'll be a good drink. Thanks for sharing.

Ya, these are all summer special - I love this Lassi and the plain chilled mango juice.

The color of the lachhi looks very beautiful. At the same time it looks very tasty. This is one of my favorite foods. I used to eat a lot of these as a child.

Lassi is my favourite drink in hot weather.
We drink each morning at home. Mostly drank here in breakfast.

Hopefully you will take the cycle home ☺️.
