Spring arrives and with it the plants begin to emerge the first buds, the first leaves and of course, as a logical corollary, the first flowers.
The photos show a whole swarm of bees collecting pollen from the flowers of a lavender plant, one of the first to bloom in spring.
The dull murmur of the bees' wings flapping frenetically and ceaselessly at an incredible speed is striking. The noise can be heard several meters away.
I approached with caution so as not to be stung and took these photos. Bees only react aggressively if they consider themselves in danger.
And they prefer to sacrifice their own life (they leave the sting in the person or animal and thus die) to save the safety of the whole swarm or hive.
Work and sacrifice, that is the spirit of the hive!
