Yesterday I received a call from a friend. Lek ‘s from Los Angeles to visit hometown. We haven’t seen each other in almost 6 years. So i decided to call a friend who has a beautiful
house , which she wants to meet old friend from
L A as well. I called some friends to join lunch at a friend’s suburban home, 17 kilometres from province. We bought some local food for our long-distance friend to eat because she yearned for local Thai food. And most importantly, she’d like to see the atmosphere of traditional Thai house built entirely of teak wood.
My friend ‘s house ( Lha, her name ) is one story house with 3 bedrooms, all made of teak wood, which is rare wood in Thailand. Her parents planted them for about 30 years to build a house. Unfortunately, her parents passed away. This house took about 3 years to build by skilled craftsmen. After the house finished the craftsman died with wisdom in his work. Lha and her husband plants flowers and trees around the house. It’s not surprising that this house always has friends who come to visit or hang out.
we ‘ve been close friends since high school. We always in touch. The friendship of the word friend remains forever. Eating food with people we love and like is always delicious and flavourful. Consists of the nature of the house surrounded by various types of trees made us enjoy eating and talking. We sat and chatted for 4 hours happily and merrily, then said thanked and goodbye for Lha and her husband.
I think having good friends to take care of and talk to each other. It makes life worthwhile. Like a Chinese proverb says… “ Drinking in prose is not drunk if you drink with someone you love”
