Hell everyone. I hope you all live happily. Today I’d like to talk about the pst that I did for some time until Covid 19 happened. I stopped that activity . That’s a blood donor. I donated 42 times. I helped The Thai Red Cross during my time as a teacher. I have a team with 25 students to promote. Students who was 17 years old can give blood. Some foreign teachers asked me “ Why donated blood, What was if for? “ He said” It was the duty of hospital and not to invite others like this.” I felt his stupidity and narrow mindedness. I was not angry with him. Maybe it’s because he didn’t know how to give.
Some hospital in each province have a shortage of blood, especially during April. Due to an accident causing blood shortage. The Thai Red Cross Society campaigned for people to donate blood.
Giving blood is giving life to others without expecting anything in return. The blood you donate can benefit up to 3 people. Blood contains important components including Plasma.
- Plasma is yellow in appearance, used to treat burn patients and produce anti
hepatitis serum.

Red cells carry oxygen to tissues , used to treat Thalassemia and bone marrow atrophy, patients from surgery, accident, etc.
Platelets help the blood to clot, used to treat patients with Leukemia.
The amount of donated blood is about 350- 450 ml, which has no effect on the health of the donor. The body creates new blood to replace the lost parts.
I’m always happy when I donate because i know it can help people’s lives.
