Bamboo sticks
Description
A few days ago while I was running in the countryside of Romagna (Italy) I came across an area where bamboo canes were growing.
Bamboo has always caught my attention and so many things are made with it.
Bamboo is used in green building and also in food.
Bamboo is a plant native to Asia and America and is typical of humid areas. It is an evergreen plant made up of a long, hollow stem and comes in numerous varieties.
Bamboo has well-known mechanical properties, flexibility and impact resistance. This plant is repellent to liquids and resists humidity and deformation.
Bamboo is a plant that we can consider extremely ecological as it has a high absorption of carbon dioxide. This plant has the ability to combat both air and soil pollution, in fact with its roots bamboo transforms pollutants into biomass.
Another characteristic of this plant is that it grows quickly and in its most exceptional cases a growth of 5 cm per hour has been recorded.
The mechanical characteristics of bamboo make it suitable for making support elements.
Sowing bamboo
In one hectare of land, 1200 bamboo plants can be sown for a probable cost of €35,000. According to a rough estimate it could produce 25 tons of sprouts every year. If we set a cost of €2 per kilo we can say that a sale of €50,000 could be achieved

Canne di Bambù

Qualche giorno fa mentre stavo facendo una corsa in mezzo alle campagne della Romagna (Italia) ho incontrato una zona in cui crescevano canne di bambù.
Il bambù ha sempre attirato la mia attenzione e con esso si fanno davvero tante cose.
Il bambù viene usato in bioedilizia e anche nell’alimentazione.
Il bambù è una pianta originaria di Asia e America ed è tipica di aree umide. Essa è una pianta sempreverde formata da un fusto lungo e cavo ed è di numerose varietà.
Il bambù ha delle proprietà meccaniche ben note, flessibilità e resistente agli urti. Questa pianta ha repellenza nei confronti dei liquidi e resiste all’umiditá e alla deformazione.
Il bambù è una pianta che possiamo considerare estremamente ecologica in quanto ha un elevato assorbimento di anidride carbonica. Questa pianta ha la capacità di contrastare sia l’inquinamento atmosferico, sia quello del suolo, infatti con le sue radici il bambù trasforma gli inquinanti in biomassa.
Un'altra caratteristica di questa pianta è che cresce velocemente e nei suoi casi più eccezionali si è registrata una crescita di 5 cm all’ora.
Le caratteristiche meccaniche del bambù lo rendono adatto per realizzare elementi di sostegno.
Seminare il bambù
In un ettaro di terra si possono seminare 1200 piante di bambù per una probabile spesa di 35.000€. Secondo una stima approssimativa potrebbe produrre 25 tonnellate di germogli ogni anno. Se fissiamo un costo di 2€ al chilo possiamo dire che si potrebbe realizzare una vendita di 50.000€

I have been to a village where the majority of the people there used bamboos to build their houses

Bamboo cane is one of the strongest cane I've know and it is used for varieties of things here in Nigeria.
