Farmlife And Wildlife. Random Experiences

The peaceful farm-life experience with a twist of city life!
Being able to experience the biting cold winds and the muddy aftermath of the rains can sometimes end up taking its toll on you, but once its gone you somehow miss it. We are slowly shifting into our rainy season< absolutely cant wait for the greener pastures, even though every now and then we get an unexpected cold front which makes for a perfect day in bed, with a cup of hot chocolate and a Netflix movie marathon!

He has been at it again, not coming home at night and appearing the next morning at the gate all dirty with dust and mud, I bet he can't wait for the rainy season... all of the muddy puddles for him to roll in would be a feast for him!

He has always been a lonely wanderer, he does move with all the other horses but he is often times alone in the fields or very far from the grouping of the other horses. I think he knows he doesn't quite fit in, the other are mostly race horses or otherwise big horses. he is a small little fella.

Apparently the winds were gushing on the farm last night! Didn't even notice I slept like a baby! And now my beacon tree is gone, I guess we can chop it up for firewood. Whenever I return from town down the gravel road I knew the farm-gate is close when see this tree. Time to plant a new tree I suppose!

By the looks of it, it's been dead for quite sometime with the trunk completely dried out and brittle! Luckily for us its a small tree, if it was bigger it would probably have blocked the road making it difficult to access the farm.

Just a random photo of the sun behind the clouds, giving a Chernobyl like feeling with the power lines under it. Of course the photo doesn't justify how beautiful the view was with the naked eye, having the most beautiful glare of sunlight through the clouds.

A Picture of our farm from the farthest gate, its more of a wild-life preservation site than an actual farm. If you want to truely experience the abundant animal life here, getting up very early before the sun rises and picking a spot you can carefully observe from would be the best bet, you can slowly see the animals crawling out from their sleeping spaces, peaking their heads out like meerkat's.

One morning while driving to work me and my grandfather spotted a Aston-Martin in town. Yes its very off topic, BUT seeing a 5 million in ZAR currency driving around in our little town is not something you see on a daily basis... or weekly... or monthly...or even yearly🤣.... Its worth putting out their.
