The hindu architecture in Plaosan Temple
Greeting everyone ,
How are you ? I hope you have a great day that better than yesterday . This is another picture of my solo travel journey in Yogyakarta , Indonesia .
Plason Temple is not popular as other temple in Yogyakarta like Prambanan or Borobudur Temple , but this the only temple that has been made as the prove of living love. Even most of temple that i have been in ASEAN , i think this is the temple that show the true love.
According to history , Rakai Pikatan build this temples for his wife Pramodyawardani during his era . The interesting story is , Rakai Pikatan is Hindu while Pramodyawardani is Buddhist. This is never happen because there is huge different between Hindu and Buddhist temple but they believe that Plaosan Temple combine both of religion.
If you come to this temple , Plaosan Temple is being made with pair which is Plaosan Lor Temple and Plaossan Kidul Temple. Pakai Pikatan build Plaosan Lor temple in north to express his admire to his wife Pramodyawardani and Pramodyawardani's express her admiration for her husband by building the Plaosan Kidul Temple in south.
So you ll realize that the temple is the story of love between the king and empress .
