Casa de estudios Lorenzo Mendoza es una casa colonial construida en 1761 en el centro de Caracas, la estructura a tenido diferentes usos desde su construcción, fue residencia de clérigos Jesuitas, colegio y casa de familia, por muchos años permaneció cerrada hasta que en el año 1997 comenzó su restauración y desde entonces es un centro cultural y de arte, en ella puedes ver artículos de uso diario de una casa colonial en mi fotografías puedes apreciar un "pilón" pieza de madera donde se molia el maíz, una habitación con artículos de la época, el pozo de agua, además de adornos y cuadros religiosos, también tiene una amplia biblioteca, sala para conferencias y un restaurante donde sirven platos típicos venezolanos con un toque actual, para mí visitar este hermoso lugar es como estar en un oasis en el convulsionando centro de Caracas.
