La Virgen del camino es la figura de una mujer con ropas y velo al viento nos da una imagen de movimiento invitándonos a seguirla en su andar hacia senderos seguros. La imagen tiene también su historia, de como la escultora llega a solicitar la intervención del Tribunal de ritos en Roma para declarar legítima la devoción de los creyentes hacia la imagen creada, hasta lograr que fuese coronada por el cardenal Arteaga como “madre protectora del viajero peregrino”.Esta estatua es de bronce, mide unos 180x200 cm. En el bronce están fundidas algunas monedas; otras se encontraban enterradas en el concreto de los cimientos, ofrendas todas de los que, sacrificando hasta sus horas de descanso, habían colaborado en la ejecución.
Siempre tiene flores frescas y hasta ramos de novias y ella es la inconfundible Virgen del Camino de La Habana.

In the bronze are cast some coins; others were buried in the concrete of the foundations, all offerings of those who, sacrificing even their hours of rest, had collaborated in the execution.
She always has fresh flowers and even bridal bouquets and she is the unmistakable Virgin of the Havana Road.
