In the evening yesterday I went to met a friend at her house. When I arrived, it turned out that my friend she was feeding crickets on the farm behind her house. So she called me into the cricket farm. I saw a cricket in a rectangular pond. There are a lot of crickets in the pond. They live in cardboard egg panels that my friend built as nests in which they can sleep. They climb out of their ovaries when they are hungry. My friend told me that they eat 2-3 times / day as they age. It takes 28-30 days for adult crickets to be raised before they can catch these crickets for income. In Thailand, crickets are a popular and inexpensive high-protein food. It is popularly eaten as a snack.
