RE: Introduction- This is a fund raising account for chronic illnesses

in Spoonies Unitelast year

Thanks so much for your support. Feel free to join and post in theSpoonies Unite community -posts do not need to be illness related. This account will be upvoting posts in the community so it's a win-win .

In the near feature, I may need a few mods in that group. If you're interested, let me know.

You can also help by just spreading the word about the community, sharing posts etc. That would be a huge help if at all possible.

That sounds great! I might have some time to help with moderating. I've been looking for another community to join in, and there's nothing better than helping people! I'll see what can do, the veterans community will be a great place to start.

Awesome. I added you as a mod. There isn't really anything to moderate right now as the community is so new. However this is the internet and trolls are bound to find us eventually lol.

Thanks again for you support and help. It really means a lot to me .

No worries! Once it's up and running I'll help watch out for those trolls. So many people with way too much time on their hands. I may try to put up a medical based post once a week to start out, since that's my background. Chronic disease is something I know well thanks to the COVID vaccine.

Are a vax injured LC sufferer? I know of a few people who are in that category. I've had ME/CFS since I was a kid . 50% of LC patients also meet the criteria of ME/CFS .

This may sound odd but if you are in that category pay attention to the color of the skin on your legs feet and hands when sitting or standing upright. If you notice blue/purple/blotchiness it's a sign of autonomic dysfunction, usually POTS. Doctors usually ignore this.

I don't consider myself to be vax injured, as in permanent but the vax did make me very very sick each time I got them. But to be fair an immune activating event will put me in a crash so I can't say it's specifically the covid vax.

I am not anti vax, but vaccine injuries are real and need to be validated and recognized. ♥️

No I don't have POTS, after the COVID vaccine I developed severe arthritis in my knee and feet one week after the first shot. Ended up on crutches for a month. After the second I developed a blood clot in my lung causing right sided heart failure (cor pulmonale.) It's an mRNA vaccine which had never before been used in humans and enough testing wasn't done in my opinion.

Drug companies are all in it for the money and they get government protection against lawsuits (at least in the US.)

I am so sorry to hear about that. That's awful. I hope you are at least getting some treatment.

I agree our system especially with big pharma is corrupt and needs a complete overhaul.

It sucks buy it's life, no one gets out alive in the end! There are some decent treatments but it's not a great long term prognosis.
