RUNNING DRILL SEASON

Hi Hive Runners, how was training this week, did you get your new Personal Best? I hope you did. But unfortunately I still can't get my personal best. But don't worry, I've been training hard this week. Hopefully this will help improve my performance.

On every Tuesday night, I used to come to Ahmad Yani Square, where people run in my city. Every day it's crowded and never quiet. Was I training alone? Of course not, I was there with my community Freeletics Tangerang. The first time I met them was when I was practicing running. Because it looked fun and could add friendship, so I went to them and joined the training together. it's been half a year since I joined. That night, coach Novan informed me that this time's schedule was a drill. He said it's good for making our running form better and better. And also reduce the risk of injury.

Freeletics itself is a community workout. The goal is straight training. Balancing the community members who are all running enthusiasts. Because to run we have to have strong leg muscles, right?

okay, let's get back to the drill.

Before doing the drill, we warmed up for about 15 minutes.

Drill, which looks easy when watching on YouTube videos, but turns out to be very difficult when practiced. While doing them we laughed several times at our wrong moves.

The first movement was angkle drills, this movement I could still follow well, but it was enough to make me breathless. after that we continued with high knee. almost the same as the previous movement, but we had to lift our knees higher. this movement took more of my strength and energy.

After doing the other movements, we finally got into the ABC drill, and oh my gosh it was really hard. I had a hard time following the circular drill. eventually my movements and my friend's were not the same. and we ended up laughing together.

The coach instructed us to do it slowly until we got the movements right. since this was my first time doing running drills, I had a little trouble following along.
We did all the movements for two repetitions of each movement.

After the exercise was over, we gathered for a group photo, and said goodbye to go home. And will meet again at the next practice on the next Tuesday.
