Hive(In Hindsight it Was Obvious)

"Starting next week the Romanian government will impose fines of 10,000 to 20,000 EUR and censor online content that they consider to be 'conspiracy theories', 'manipulative' etc".

There was a time when the internet was free (to use), but high-speed access was nearly impossible to get. Now, almost everyone on Earth has high-speed internet, but the internet itself is no longer free.

You’re free to use the establishment’s apps—TikTok, YouTube, and whatever—to create dumbed-down content that millions waste time watching. But the moment you say something that goes against their agenda, you’re shut down.

Romania used to be a fiscal and free speech paradise for about 30 years after the revolution. Now, it’s turning into a totalitarian state. Cash transactions over $10,000 are banned, and if you can’t justify the money, you’re taxed 80% on that amount.

They canceled the presidential elections over baseless claims of “Russian interference.” If they had actual proof, it would be plastered all over the news, but there’s nothing. And now? They’re coming after internet content.

We often pity the Chinese for living under communism, yet Europe is turning into a communist bloc before our eyes. Romania is living proof. Members of the European Parliament openly admitted that Brussels (Ursula von der Leyen) canceled the elections because their preferred candidate wasn’t going to win.

Their candidate. Not ours.

Germany is next—they’re introducing laws to allow the same election manipulation. The EU wants to revoke Hungary’s voting rights over its "pro-Kremlin" stance. And yet, we’re told we live in a free world.

Free in what way? Free to work, pay taxes, and watch mind-numbing TikToks all day? No thanks. That’s not freedom.

When you see these bills aimed at silencing free speech and controlling information, you realize how important Hive is. As far as I know, it’s the only platform left where you can blog about whatever the hell you want without the risk of being shut down.

Elon Musk put it bluntly: “USAID was interfering in governments throughout the world and pushing radical left politics.” He’s not wrong. Anyone living in a country affected by this corruption can see it clear as day. When USAID’s funding was exposed, it became obvious who in Romania had been paid off to follow the script.

There has to be a revolution of some sort. Otherwise, we’re fucked.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

I think it is unfortunate that see increasing attempts to limit freedom of expression in many countries.

It's actually painful as fuck.

Who could honestly pay such a fine? That’s how they wish to fight misinformation? The newspapers will happily pay the fines in order to continue lying to everyone.

The newspapers won’t be fined. They’re part of the propaganda.

That’s quite true!
