Sometimes, it's good to have friends who are smarter than you. Like this friend of mine, who is a programmer and knows all sorts of things about computers, apps, blockchains, and AI. He tricked me into watching an hour-long presentation by the CEO of Nvidia, the company's latest and greatest.
Believe it or not, there was a lot of talk about AI in that presentation, and most of the company's current products focus on providing computational power to machines that are being used, and will be used extensively, by all sorts of companies, ranging from pharmaceutical companies to metaverses and so on.
The exponential era is upon us, and so is the AI era. I am a bit skeptical about "handing our lives" to machines, but I might be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time that has happened. The tech evolution leap pushing AI into mass production might level up our existence on earth.
According to my friend, humans will have a lot of free time once all of this gets settled. We both agree that automation will kill many jobs across the board, but he's more optimistic than I am in this regard. He sees all of this as an opportunity, while I'm more doom and gloom.
One thing we can agree upon is that "the tokenization of everything" is deemed to happen. When I asked him what humans are going to do to earn a living, his answer was to "earn tokens for all sorts of mundane activities that we're doing for free anyway."
His biggest idea in this regard is gaming, on the next level #playtoearn evolutionary leap. He sees the likes of PlayStation and EA Sports soon releasing games that would earn their users valuable NFTs that these individuals could later monetize.
I've had this idea of a tokenized world since my early days on Steemit. When I first heard of @actifit, I thought that if walking can get tokenized and monetized, then almost anything can replicate that. All sorts of activities like dining, playing games, creating content, driving, and so on.
The tokenization of everything will not spring from just one source. There will be myriads of apps, blockchains, and metaverses doing it. But Hive is leading the way in this regard. Hive has been allowing its users to tokenize all sorts of online and offline activities for many years already.
We have @actifit making it possible for anyone to tokenize daily walking or any related physical activity. @3speak is the app that offers anyone the chance to tokenize video content, while @liketu is probably the most used interface for tokenizing photography. @leofinance is not only allowing its community members to create blog posts that can get tokenized, but we now have #threads where one can earn both HIVE and LEO for sharing all sorts of content from microblogs to polls.
Splinterlands is already well-known as a #playtoearn app, and despite lacking the fun factor, it is there and it's a Hive product. Hive is no longer just a blogging platform, although some mistakenly take it as such. It's the everything blockchain, and the way I see it, it is leading the path in the tokenization of everything process.
UBI (universal basic income) is something I can see coming "next to you" in a few years from now. Coupled with CBDCs, that would translate to modern enslavement for some others. But whoever has the ability to jump on the tokenization of everything train has a head start and a hedge against the turbulent and AI-disrupted times awaiting us.
What do you think?
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

Tokenization is going to create this balance, humans is going to get paid on all the activities they do while AI do most of the work we should have done, maybe that is the real freedom we dream of. A nice post friend.
Maybe...
